Studio Notes podcast
I was interviewed recently by Sasha DeWitt for her new ‘Studio Notes’ podcast, where she interviews creativ folk about their journey and career.
We chat about what it means to be self-taught and finding confidence in what we do as artists, coming to art later in life and not going to official art college, but making up for it with lots of short and not-so-short art courses.
Then we chat about the joys of printmaking, imperfection and starting a creative business. Plus we talk about exploring a wide variety of subject matter and techniques rather than sticking with any one subject or way of doing things. WE then get onto the freedom of paint and how it’s now also informing Emma’s printmaking.
I thoroughly enjoyed our chat and it made me think alot about the journeys we take and how creativity is something that is hard to explore. I hopeyou enjoy it too…
