Design, carve and print your own two colour lino print.
Linocut printing is a great introduction to printmaking, and one that requires little specialist equipment. A design is carved into the lino block, then is covered in ink and printed. The design can be simple or complicated – the possibilities are endless.
We will explore designing for lino, transferring and carving those designs onto the block, printing with and without a press, and printing multiple colours with more than one block. Everyone will produce their own small set of prints.
These two half day workshops will run on consecutive weekends, providing the opportunity to really explore linocut and produce some prints of your own.
Day one – introduction, design/carve/test print in one colour
Day two – follow on - design/carve/test print in two colours
Book at the Allanbank Arts website using the links below. Each workshop is booked separately and can be treated separately, but day two is a chance to progress work from day one.
